In 1981 the first traveling retrospective show of Harry Jackson’s work was mounted by the Buffalo Bill Historical Center and Peter Hassrick their director. It traveled to the Palm Springs Desert Museum and the Minneapolis Institute of Arts. It was a major show that gave museum visitors an overview of Harry Jackson’s body of work. It included not only the sculptures of Cowboys and Indians but the Abstract Expressionist work was included in significant numbers.
If you are a collector or student of Harry Jackson this catalog is an important addition to your library. Also the poster for this show is available as well.
